Tour Kansas City & The Kansas City Barbecue Tour LLC., are a pairing of two companies that strive to be KC’s best resource of good food, good people and good entertainment. We are the “good time” people.
Individually, TKC is a production and events division frequently hosting live music, speed-dating and other social events across Kansas City both public and private.
The Kansas City barbecue tour: is our tour side and claim to fame since 2011, with our excellent knack and now, well-season’d, food tours.

ORIGINATING AS THE KC BARBECUE TOUR UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF KARL AND BETHANIE SCHEMEL, THE KC BBQ TOUR WAS BORN IN 2011

DUE TO A FAMILY HARDSHIP WITHIN THE SCHEMEL FAMILY THE SCHEMELS WOULD HAVE TO STEP AWAY FROM THE BUSINESS. THE BUSINESS BRAND WOULD LAND IN THE HANDS OF HEAD TOUR GUIDE, ARLIN PACHECO.
PACHECO HAD WORKED DIRECTLY FOR THE SCHEMELS FOR APPROXIMATELY NINE YEARS BEFORE, WITH THEIR BLESSING, CONTINUING ON THE KC BBQ TOUR NAME AND ITS TRADITIONS
2021
IN 2021, CAME TOUR KANSAS CITY LLC.
IN 2021, TKC WOULD ESTABLISH A SOON TO BE SHORTENED RELATIONSHIP WITH BARLEY BUS. DUE TO THEIR POOR ETHICAL STANDARDS AND FREQUENT MISUSE OF TKC’S NETWORK & EMPLOYEES- THIS WOULD SOON CEASE TKC’S PARTNERSHIP WITH THEM AND NO LONGER PART OF OUR RECOMMENDED NETWORK. TOUR KANSAS CITY & THE KC BBQ TOUR BRAND REMAINED IN TACT.

All our tour guides are hand-selected for their personal pizazz, character and passion for hospitality, service and kansas city! Tour guides are trained across all tours and simmered in a vat of bbq beans until ready!

Lavetti, joins us from Nebraska! From the tall corn fields of way far north, Vegas knew his heart belonged to Kansas city! You can find him frequenting comedy stages across the Midwestern regions!

Blumos is a cocktail expert and long-time service industry member in great standing across many establishments in Kansas city. On her off-time, you may find Brittany decompressing and volunteering at the local dog haven.

Kristae has fed many BBQ tour customers long before meeting them! As a seasoned pitmaster at many of the iconic joints, Kristea holds many of the BBQ secrets right in her pocket! Joining our class of 2024, Kristea has slung and served up juicier stories than could ever be written in the archives!

Our newest addition to the KC BBQ tour lineup is gris-man himself, Greg! Bringing his expertise in kc political and economic history, the truman tour will have to bid time with our BBQ tour for Greg!

ARLIN PACHECO
Arlin Pacheco is an artist at heart. Foodie second and through her love of people, food and KC’s community, Pacheco has outlasted every BBQ tour name and title that has come along. Part of the original team, and still training our newest members, Arlin is a very active member of our leadership team.
